This is both a community event and a first-class opportunity to operate a recruiting booth. Just like at the Herdon Homecoming Parade, we expect to participate with vintage military vehicles in the parade down Columbia Pike culminating at the Little River Pike shopping center (Safeway).

Organizers have been working hard to make this year bigger, better and more fun for all! The sponsor (Annandale. Ch. of Commerce) is seeking volunteers to assist with set up and take down from 0600-0800 and 1800-close.

Meet at the Methodist Church NLT 0900 on SAT 24OCT09. We will have SGT Woolman's M109A3 deuce and a half and his Mark 2/3 Ferret armored scout car, plus a military Dodge Powerwagon supplied by a non-VDF person. Soldiers can also ride in an open trailer in our vehicle formation.
